Flowers Insurance Agency was established in 1953 by the Flowers family, located in Dothan, Alabama. Since that time, the agency has quickly grown into a leader in the insurance industry in the Southeastern Alabama area. Acknowledged as a leader in the insurance field, the Business Alabama Magazine recognized Flowers as one of the state’s largest independent agencies.

Mullin Insurance Agency was established in January, 1911 by C. L. Mullin, a local entrepreneur of Phenix City Alabama. Today Mullin Insurance continues to meet insurance needs in Georgia and Alabama, and celebrating its 100 years of service.

101 Year-Old Insurance Agency Changes Name to Complete Merger
Mullin Insurance Agency to Operate as Flowers Insurance Agency(PHENIX CITY, ALA.)- In February 2011, Flowers Insurance Agency in Dothan, Ala. acquired Mullin Insurance Agency in Phenix City, Ala. focusing on continued organization growth. Mullin Insurance agency is pleased to announce they have completed the merger and are officially changing its name to Flowers Insurance Agency effective September 4, 2012. Flowers Insurance Agency is ranked as one of the top commercial insurance agencies in the state of Alabama for the sixth year in a row.

The name change will not affect current employees, coverage options and carriers of Mullin Insurance Agency.

Shane Sinquefield, principal of Flowers Insurance Agency, says the name change offers multiple business advantages. This name change will allow for streamline processes and a greater efficency for operations.

“We recognize the strength of Mullin’s 101 year heritage,” says Sinquefield. “We already operate as a family and the name change just makes it official. Flowers Insurance Agency is highly recognized and respected in the marketplace, along with our family staff in Dothan and Phenix City.”

Clients of Mullin Insurance Agency will receive the same excellent service and coverage not only under a new name, but also at new location. The newly, renovated office space will be open for service effective September 4, 2012 at 1621 Broad Street in downtown Phenix City, Ala.

Mike Worthington, current branch manager of Mullin Insurance Agency, is leading the change and office relocation.
